Don't these berries look just so wonderfully plump? Pretty enough for a Christmas postcard!

What's Blooming In My Garden Right Now
We've had a fair bit of rain in Houston which makes the plants happy. (Sounds like a Texan, doesn't it?) Here are a few things blooming in the garden now. This little trumpet vine just keeps on giving and I love it!

Oak Leaves
There are so many varieties of oaks in Houston that I cannot be sure these are pin oak leaves. The sharp tips make me wonder what kind of oak it may be. Still, love the deep green and the detail that show up in this photo.
Wild Vine and an Old Iron Fence
I just loved the composition of this living and inanimate juxtaposition. I asked a gardener the name of the vine and he couldn't say. It grows red berries in the winter.

Varigated Leaves
It is getting really warm in Houston now. With humidity, it feels like temps in the 90s. These two survivors have endured the freezing winter and now the frying heat. I love both of these plants a lot.
